Why More is More- Why Time Together Matters

One of the most common questions we hear at FSP is, “How do I get my puppy to settle?” The answer is surprisingly simple: do more together. Sweetie isn’t being demanding—she’s asking for engagement, structure, and connection. The more time you spend training, playing, walking, and exploring with your Standard Poodle puppy, the better behaved she’ll be. Mental stimulation, physical activity, and social exposure all work together to create a balanced dog. At FSP, we encourage families to take their puppies along for everyday experiences once vaccinations are complete. New places, new people, and new smells build confidence and resilience. Sweetie’s brain is growing rapidly, and every positive experience helps shape her future behavior. Time together doesn’t have to be elaborate. A walk around the block, a short training session, or even folding laundry while she chews a toy nearby all count. Puppies who feel included sleep better, learn faster, and bond more deeply.
